Cedric’s Story

After four years in the US Army and thirty years building global sales organizations and leading commercial initiatives at Abbott Laboratories and Carrier Global, I embarked on a new journey. I took a year to transition into launching my own sales consulting business, with a mission to help small businesses optimize their sales strategies. My initial focus was on bringing proven sales methodologies like SPIN to small business owners, along with customized tools and resources designed to drive growth.

During this discovery phase, I joined my local Chamber of Commerce and was appointed co-chair of the Business and Education Committee. In this role, I gained invaluable insights into the needs of nearly 500 local small businesses. The most important takeaway was:

While many of these businesses could benefit from enhanced sales strategies, I found that their primary challenges were actually around funding and cash flow. In fact, most were in a constant cycle of seeking funding just to meet payroll. This is one of the main reasons that 50% of small businesses fail within five years (U.S. Bureau Statistics and Labor) 

These insights reshaped my mission. Now, I’m passionate about helping small businesses secure the funding they need to become financially stable and bankable. At Peak Performance Leadership Institute, our coaches guide clients through a comprehensive 4-6 month process designed to position them for sustainable financial success. I also travel nationwide to  speak, conduct interviews,  and share practical strategies to help entrepreneurs separate their personal and business finances—and, ultimately, achieve independence as bankable businesses.
